‘Binah’ means wisdom, insight and understanding in Hebrew, and is the most appropriate name for our Enrichment and Extension Program. Our Krongold Family Binah Program is offered to every student throughout the school. From Prep right through, various programs such as Edward de Bono’s 6 Thinking Hats, ‘Philosophy for Children’ and Creative Thinking are employed to develop thinking skills. Our General Studies and Jewish Studies curriculum embrace the Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence theory ensuring all the talents of our students are valued and nurtured. Modifications are made to provide challenges for each student at their own level of competence.

Previous Future Problem Solving teams have enjoyed great success having been invited to the World Championships. Similarly, Tournament of Minds teams have participated in the national finals.

Maths Talent Quest is another popular activity offered to all our primary students.

In the area of Language, extension classes for students in senior primary promote the entrance of students into nation-wide competitions.

A dedicated Enrichment and Extension Facilitator develops and coordinates all these programs and more to encourage and maximise involvement.
