Many people think of Mount Scopus College as one large school when in fact, it is five small, integrated schools five Centres of Excellence. They share the same educational focus and an astonishing array of facilities, dedicated and specialist staff and innovative learning programs.
Our Kindergartens and Junior Primary at two locations serve our students early needs well, providing a home away from home and a strong foundation for a love of learning and Yiddishkeit.
Senior Primary children enjoy spacious classrooms with expansive play areas and benefit from frequent access to outstanding sport and performing arts complexes.
Middle School (Years 7-9) has a purpose-designed curriculum acknowledging the learning styles of students during their early adolescent years. It presents the Coalition of Essential Schools (CES) approach of active and engaged, student-centred learning, focussed upon essential question and research activity.
Senior School (Years 10-12) curriculum is primarily determined by Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and university entrance requirements. It caters for a more mature student assisting them to reach their full potential in preparation for all that life will bring after Scopus. Our VCE results consistently speak for themselves.
In addition to formal Jewish and secular learning programs, all our students enjoy enrichment and extension, a significant informal Jewish educational experience and a vast range of co-curricular activities.
