The Senior School of Mount Scopus College is renowned for its students’ academic achievements and is consistently one of the highest achieving in the State, enjoying an enviable reputation.
Senior School focuses on students, who as young adults, are aware of their responsibility towards learning. The staff, curriculum and teaching methodology are primarily determined by VCE and university entrance requirements. However, in addition to presenting our senior students with mature learning experiences we seek to provide exposure to relevant life and vocational skills. It is our aim to encourage and nurture our students towards the successful completion of their College life, maximising the potential of each individual. Offering a comprehensive subject selection in both Jewish and secular areas, including tertiary level and vocational options, Senior School provides our students with all they require to succeed in today’s ever-changing world. A vast array of co-curricular opportunities only adds to their school life and life skills.
Programs such as Australian Business Week, together with careers and course counselling, enhance our students’ Senior School experience. The vital area of Informal Jewish Education and Student Leadership also provides activities, such as Year 11 Conference and Outreach, that create knowledgeable young adults willing to contribute to the Jewish and wider community.
